Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) Individuals in this position will have an expert understanding of the company's computer system(s); have the capability to manage others in, as well as across, IT functions; perform administrative functions in, as well as across, IT teams; collaborate with higher management to afford smooth running teams/divisions; and develop IT policies and protocols, ensuring incorporation and enforcement of those policies and protocols. This position requires the ability to work hours mirroring the hours of teammates, as directed, typically starting at 8:00 am CST.
This position will also require availability to work on-call and non-standard hours when necessary. The ISO Cybersecurity Manager will provide operational support to a designated segment of ISO and report to the segment's ISO Director IT. Major Responsibilities Sets team direction; oversees work activities of supervisors; provides forecasting and planning input Serves in a managerial capacity, ensuring the formulation and implementation of procedures and systems Monitors Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ensuring they stay up-to-date on improvements and implementations to computer system(s) Evaluates innovative approaches and solutions to complex problems and issues Evaluates analysis of and suggested solutions to complex issues, as well as complex conceptual analysis, ensuring implementation Collaborates and offers managerial direction to other managers, project managers, architects, and other technical leads to ensure continuity and communication across teams Evaluates and offers managerial direction, ensuring mitigation of risks to the IT infrastructure as well as the company Mentors and coaches cybersecurity team leads and other individuals, providing guidance and expertise, promoting continued integration of technological advances to further enhance security Qualifications Prior experience Leading, Managing or Mentoring teams with HR accountabilities Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, as well as communicate with high-level management 5 or more years of IT Security for large corporation Experience in Fortune 500 company Have advanced Security certifications (CISSP, PALO, Blue Coat) Ability to obtain and keep required (government and other) security clearances Firewall upgrades, conversions, or migrations Assets Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise and/or equivalent experience Prior experience with large scale security migrations and deployments Technology Careers with Optum.
